Service & Maintenance
We recommend a professional tune-up twice a year — once in spring before cooling season and once in fall before heating season. Regular maintenance keeps your system running efficiently, extends equipment life, and helps catch small issues before they become expensive repairs.
Most standard 1-inch filters should be replaced every 1–3 months. Thicker media filters (4–5 inch) can last 6–12 months. The exact interval depends on your filter type, whether you have pets, and your local air quality. When in doubt, check monthly — a grey, clogged filter is your sign to swap it out.
With proper maintenance, air conditioners and heat pumps typically last 15–20 years, and gas furnaces can last 20–25 years. Systems that skip annual tune-ups often fail 5–8 years earlier. If your system is over 15 years old and needs a costly repair, a replacement may be the smarter long-term investment.
Our 21-point tune-up covers: cleaning the evaporator and condenser coils, checking refrigerant levels, inspecting electrical connections, lubricating moving parts, testing thermostat calibration, inspecting the heat exchanger (heating systems), clearing the condensate drain, and a full system performance test. We leave you with a written report of findings.
A common industry rule is the "5,000 rule" — multiply the system age (in years) by the repair cost. If the result exceeds $5,000, replacement is usually the better financial choice. We'll always give you an honest recommendation and never pressure you either way. Our goal is to help you make the decision that's right for your home and budget.
Pricing & Financing
Yes — we provide free estimates for system replacements and new installations. For diagnostic service calls (when your system isn't working), a standard diagnostic fee applies, which is credited toward any approved repair. We'll always tell you the cost before we do any work.
Yes. We partner with leading HVAC financing providers to offer flexible payment plans, including 0% interest promotions for qualified buyers. Whether you're replacing a system or adding a major comfort upgrade, we can help you find a monthly payment that fits your budget. Ask us for details when you call.
The service call fee covers our technician's time to travel to your home, perform a full system diagnosis, and present you with a detailed repair quote. If you approve the repair, the diagnostic fee is waived or credited. There are no hidden charges — you'll know exactly what you're paying before we start.
Yes. All labor we perform is backed by a 1-year workmanship guarantee. Parts warranties vary by manufacturer — most major components carry 5–10 year manufacturer warranties. We'll explain the specific warranty coverage for every repair before we begin.
Emergency Service
Yes. We provide emergency service 7 days a week for situations where your heating or cooling has completely failed, especially during extreme weather. Our maintenance plan members receive priority emergency dispatch ahead of standard service queue.
We aim to respond to emergency calls within 2–4 hours for our service area. Response times can vary during peak demand periods (summer heatwaves, winter cold snaps). Maintenance plan members are always dispatched first. Call us directly for the fastest response.
Emergency and after-hours service calls do carry a higher diagnostic rate than standard weekday calls. We are fully transparent about pricing before dispatching — you'll always know the rate before we arrive. Maintenance plan members receive discounted or waived emergency fees depending on their plan tier.
Air Quality & Upgrades
The most impactful upgrades are: a whole-home media air cleaner or HEPA filtration system, a UV germicidal light installed in your air handler, a whole-home dehumidifier (especially important in humid climates), and regular duct cleaning. We can assess your current system and recommend the right combination for your home size and health needs.
UV germicidal lights are installed inside your air handler, where they emit ultraviolet-C (UV-C) light that destroys the DNA of bacteria, mold spores, and viruses passing through your system. Unlike filters, UV lights address biological contaminants rather than particles. They're particularly effective when combined with high-efficiency filtration.
Absolutely. We install and configure smart thermostats from leading brands including Ecobee and Honeywell Home. A smart thermostat can reduce your heating and cooling costs by 10–23% through intelligent scheduling, occupancy sensing, and remote control via your smartphone. We handle the full installation and walk you through the setup.
